Meet Our Podiatrist

Dr. Brent Wendel is a board-certified podiatrist specializing in sports medicine, orthotics, and non-operative conditions of the foot and ankle. He has over 20 years of experience treating both surgical and non-surgical conditions. After noticing over 90 percent of patients improving with non-surgical care, he decided to concentrate on healing and improving patients with non-operative treatment.


Dr. Wendel enjoys the educational side of podiatric medicine by informing patients about what the latest and best evidence-based treatments are. He also enjoyed teaching surgical residents for the Swedish Hospital Podiatric Surgical Residency program. He was awarded Instructor of the Year 2016.


Dr. Wendel graduated from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in 1996. He completed his surgical residency in Seattle in 1998. He became Board Certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery in 2003.


Dr. Wendel was a competitive collegiate runner and enjoys medium-to-distance trail runs, Nordic skiing, backcountry skiing and mountain biking. He helps coach youth soccer and enjoys getting on the rivers and lakes of Central Oregon with his family.
